PROJECT DESCRIPTION
One of the world's first Mercedes Benz car dealerships according to the new international MAR 2020 standard
The complexity of the design is that it is necessary to pay attention to every detail: any radius, turn, element is made in strictly defined dimensions and each material has only 2-3 manufacturers worldwide. It is also necessary to take into account the exact number of exhibited, parked cars in the warehouse and the space between them, rest areas, office area, technical rooms for car maintenance and much more. In addition, government regulations and architectural requirements have not been cancelled.
Mercedes Benz has issued a new MAR standard manual in 2020 with strict rules of 400 pages in English, describing every detail of how a car showroom should look like. To fulfil the task to the highest level, we travelled to Nursultan, Kazakhstan, to learn from a similar facility under construction.
The primary importance of designing a car showroom is to match the company's corporate identity. Each of our architectural solutions was aimed at creating brand recognition of Mercedes Benz: corporate colours, corporate ethics, language of communication, values.
The ADS, as project realisers, was agreed and approved directly at Mercedes Benz headquarters in Stuttgart.
